This role will involve effectively leading a team of cyber security assurance professionals, overseeing the engagement of business teams with cyber security to determine appropriate security measures when planning and implementing new projects, and providing security assurance and recommendations about key MBIE systems.
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience managing in an IT security or related role, including engaging and motivating teams and individuals, as well as proven ability to successfully build trust and engagement of senior leaders through personal advocacy, vision, drive, and working collaboratively with colleagues.
A good knowledge and wide experience across cyber security disciplines with a good understanding of best practice security principles are essential. Additionally, relevant certification such as CISA, CISM, CISSP etc., and the ability to obtain and retain 'SECRET' clearance are required.
