Job Description

This role involves providing assistance to individuals with intellectual disabilities to develop their independence and acquire skills for daily living. This includes tasks such as helping clients with public transportation, employment, finances, and meal preparation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with daily living tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, and housekeeping
  • Support clients to develop their skills and independence in areas such as employment, education, and leisure activities
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality client care
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, their families, and other stakeholders
Requirements
  • No prior experience in the health and disability sector is necessary
  • A strong desire to pursue a career as a Support Worker with a positive attitude
  • Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and sleepover shifts
  • Comfortable and proficient in using computers and tablets daily
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Physical fitness to provide necessary physical support
  • Full NZ driver's license
