Job Purpose
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Community Work Supervisor to join our team. As a Community Work Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in shaping the lives of those in our care while utilising your skills and experience.
You will be responsible for overseeing and managing community workers serving community work sentences, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals. You will work closely with community groups, schools, and other stakeholders to develop and implement meaningful projects that benefit local communities.
Key Accountabilities:
- Show leadership and guidance to community workers (ARAHĪ)
- Develop and implement community projects that support local communities (MANAAKI)
- Work closely with community groups, schools, and other stakeholders (WHAKAKIPAKIPA)
- Provide support and guidance to community workers (HAPAI)
- Monitor and manage health, safety, and behaviours whilst working (MAHITAHI)
Requirements:
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to engage with all cultures
- Understanding of the importance of tikanga and te reo Maori within our unique settings
- Problem-solving and collaboration skills
