We're currently seeking a skilled Development Engineer to join our Strategy and Planning team within Developer Services. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring that extensions and relocations to the water and wastewater networks are designed and constructed in accordance with our design standards and material specifications.

You'll work closely with stakeholders to manage projects and facilitate their progress. Your experience will include approving and monitoring construction, recording asset information, and responding to new business opportunities.

This is a rare opportunity to work on unique projects and contribute to our mission of protecting Auckland's water resources. If you're passionate about engineering and working in a dynamic team, we'd love to hear from you.

  • Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent tertiary level qualification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience in the water/wastewater industry; asset management planning and delivering infrastructure projects.
  • Stakeholder relationship skills, both internally and externally.
  • Strong attention to detail (it really is important in this role).
  • A focus on continuous improvement of systems and processes.
  • Commercial acumen.
