About the Service
We are a tāngata hāpori/tāngata whaiora-led service that identifies and supports access to community resources and services to achieve their goals and aspirations.
">Your Key Responsibilities:
- To interpret for whānau Māori and support them to communicate with wider team members.
- To provide education to clinicians on Te Ao Māori and best practice for Māori healthcare.
- To facilitate hui using Tikanga and ensure that all stakeholders understand and respect Māori cultural protocols.
- To work collaboratively with other organizations to achieve sustainable outcomes for tāngata whaiora.
About You
- You have experience working in mental health, community health, or primary care settings.
- You have a strong understanding of Māori culture and tikanga.
- You are able to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
- You are passionate about improving health outcomes for Māori.
