About the Role

We're seeking a highly experienced Security Operations Specialist to join our team due to an internal promotion opportunity. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing robust security measures to protect our systems and data.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing proactive security controls to prevent potential security threats.
  • Developing and maintaining incident response plans to address security breaches.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to develop and implement security awareness training programs.
  • Providing expert guidance and recommendations to business units and technology teams on security matters.
  • Reviewing and updating security policies to ensure they remain relevant and effective.

About You

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of information security principles and practices, coupled with strong stakeholder engagement skills. You should be able to demonstrate:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT security and incident response.
  • Proficiency in implementing proactive security tools for monitoring physical and cloud environments.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and prioritise effectively.
  • Expertise in securing and assessing risks across various operating systems, platforms, applications, and security services.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience in report preparation, training material development, and conducting training sessions.
  • Understanding of operational toolsets including SIEM, Email & Web content-filtering, WAF, Endpoint Detection & Response, Vulnerability Scanning and reporting, CASB, Threat Emulation and Microsoft 365 or AWS stack.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent certifications/experience.
