About the Role

Due to an internal promotion, we have an opportunity for a Security Operations Specialist to join the team.

In this role you will be responsible for developing information security risk assessments and action plans in line with regulatory standards and industry best practices. You will ensure the adequacy of existing security controls and identify areas for improvement.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying and analysing security threats and trends.
  • Monitoring and investigating alerts.
  • Responding to incidents.
  • Participating in investigations.
  • Measuring and reporting to management.
  • Providing guidance and recommendations to business units and technology teams.
  • Reviewing and creating policies to counter evolving threats and support new regulations.

About You

Our ideal candidate will have a solid background in information security, coupled with strong stakeholder engagement skills. You'll be able to demonstrate:

  • Extensive experience in IT security and incident response.
  • Proficiency in implementing security tools for proactive monitoring in physical and cloud environments.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and prioritise effectively.
  • Expertise in securing and assessing risks across various operating systems, platforms, applications, and security services.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience in report preparation, training material development, and conducting training sessions.
  • Understanding of operational toolsets including SIEM, Email & Web content-filtering, WAF, Endpoint Detection & Response, Vulnerability Scanning and reporting, CASB, Threat Emulation and Microsoft 365 or AWS stack.
  • Hold a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent certifications/experience.
