About the Role:The Government Property Office is looking for a highly skilled Senior Leasing Specialist to join our team. The role involves developing and implementing lease negotiation strategies to align with portfolio plans, achieving improved property portfolio performance (e.g. cost savings) for the government, and ensuring successful execution of leasing initiatives across multiple locations in a timely manner.
The ideal candidate will have an extensive understanding of how government office accommodation fits within the property system, as well as a strategic outlook and experience managing a diverse and large number of commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement lease negotiation strategies to align with portfolio plans
- Deliver best practice lease management specialist services
- Manage lease renewals, rent reviews, operating expense audits and related matters
- 10+ years commercial and/or property experience and/or facilities management within government, a regulatory environment or the private sector
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal, relationship building and management skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders
- Sound knowledge of property law, health and safety legislation and tenant/landlord obligations
