Senior Director, Technical Program Management

The MongoDB R&D Engineering Technical Program Management team leads strategic R&D programs that unite teams to tackle the most complex challenges, advancing our company's goals in order to deliver great products that our customers love.
As a Principal Technical Program Manager, you will partner with key Engineering, Product, Product Design, Marketing, and Analytics stakeholders to conduct data-driven experiments and deliver features for MongoDB. As a seasoned program leader and part of MongoDB's server group, you will be the single threaded program owner for MongoDB 9.0 Next Gen suite of product offerings and its successful delivery. This role would also be responsible for all executive (SVP+) comms and escalations for Core Server Group.
This role can be based out of our East Coast office or remotely in the East Coast region.
The right candidate for this role will be:Experienced with 15+ years of working in an engineering organization leading complex cross-functional technical programsExperienced with 10 years of Software development background, preferably cloud storage and compute productsCapitalizing on their vast knowledge and experience to influence technical discussions, summarizing outcomes and next stepsSkilled at communicating across a diverse set of engineering and business stakeholdersHyper-organized and capable of coordinating across multiple independent work streams and organizationsA role model for effective execution practices, driven by an attuned sense of priority and urgencyAble to leverage their experience in program delivery to influence improvements to our tools, operations, and architectureFamiliar with MongoDB or a comparable technologyInterested in business automation work such as scripting in Python, Google Apps Script and SlackPosition Expectations:Leverage technical acumen and analytical skills to drive engineering programs forward and maximize business value deliveryRecognize patterns in a sea of information and take action accordinglyDesign, maintain, and improve the processes and tools that power program deliveryBuild strategic partnerships with Product and Engineering stakeholdersExpand knowledge into new domains as called uponAct as a mentor to junior TPMs and lead by exampleTo drive the personal growth and business impact of our employees, we're committed to developing a supportive and enriching culture for everyone.
