Kundra Grocery Mart Limited trading as Food Village in Otahuhu, Auckland, is a well-established business that has been in operation for some time. We are currently looking for a professional and customer service-oriented Store Manager who will supervise the operational and organisational standards of the store. This is a full-time position (guarantee of 30 hours per week) and permanent. We need someone who is flexible as weekend and early morning availability is a must. Hours of work are from 7:00 am – 7:00 pm, Monday to Sunday, including weekends and public holidays. The hourly wage is $29.70/hour. We are a busy establishment with a large and diverse inventory; therefore, good knowledge and experience are essential. Your duties will include: Organising and coordinating operations Determining product mix, stock levels, and service standards Managing purchasing and setting prices Promoting and advertising the store's goods and services Recruiting and managing staff Maintaining high levels of customer service Selling goods and services to customers and advising them on product use Maintaining stock, undertaking stocktakes, and keeping financial records Managing everyday operations Scheduling rostering needs of the business Scheduling purchasing and inventory control Supervising staff Ensuring adherence to health and safety Requirements for this role: At least 3 years of relevant work experience in retail or hospitality or relevant qualification Strong leadership and customer management abilities Customer service oriented with in-depth knowledge of basic management processes Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Able to follow health and safety measures at work Have a positive can-do attitude Reliable and keen to turn up for work We offer a great friendly team environment to work in.
