Choice The Discount Store was born in 1996 when we acquired our first location in Redbank. Since then, we’ve grown to over 30 stores across Queensland and Northern New South Wales, Australia. Our mission has always been simple: Provide great value for money to our local communities, with a wide range of trusted brands like Rexona, Domestos, Cadbury, Fab, and many more.

We’re now seeking expressions of interest for experienced Retail Store Managers who are ready to take on a key leadership role in our new stores across Queensland and New South Wales, Australia. If you’re a motivated and hands-on leader who thrives in dynamic environments, this could be the perfect opportunity for you

About the Role

In the next 12 months, we’ll be opening several new stores along the East Coast of Australia. As we expand, we need energetic, creative, and results-driven retail leaders to join us. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of your store, leading a team, driving sales, and ensuring a positive customer experience.

This position is ideal for candidates who are hands-on, enthusiastic about retail, and eager to contribute their ideas to help grow the business and lead their team to success. You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with a dedicated support team and develop your store to its full potential.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Retail Management Experience : Previous experience in a Supermarket or Department Store is essential. Experience in the Discount Variety Industry is highly desirable.
  • Leadership Skills : You’ve successfully managed teams and are capable of leading by example, managing a team of up to 15 staff members.
  • Merchandising Expertise : You understand the importance of stock presentation and can implement effective merchandising strategies.
  • Financial Acumen : You know how to drive sales, manage budgets, and hit key financial targets.
  • Customer-Focused : Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with customers confidently.
  • Team Player : Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to collaborate with your team to meet store objectives.
  • Flexible Availability : Willingness to work across all days, as we are a seven-day operation.
