This role reports to the Team Lead Asset Management Information and is the all-important conduit between the functional Maintenance and Operations teams and overarching Asset Management functions, and the wider Digital Enablement virtual team.
The role will take a lead in the strategy to action delivery of the digital enablement strategy as it pertains to our asset management approach, and is responsible for providing digital enablement operational support to the asset management, standards and operational teams to ensure they are consistently applying a clear approach, and standards and procedures in line with the strategy. This includes ensuring that we have the right data and information to support our planning, both long term, and through early project development.
You will bring your proven experience and in-depth knowledge and understanding of digital engineering strategies to this role and ideally you will have led digital engineering project teams in the past, particularly in the early stages of strategy and implementation development.

Ko koe tenei | About you Proven experience, in-depth knowledge and understanding of digital engineering strategies, complex roll out of new digital ways of working and ongoing support and continuous improvement practicesA deep understanding of, and proven expertise implementing, AMDS, ISO 19650, NZ BIM HandbookProven ability to build and maintain highly collaborative relationships with a range of stakeholdersPreferably a background in transport infrastructure with a strong and demonstrable business acumenExperience applying in-depth analysis to complex issuesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHighly effective planning and organisational skills including time management and prioritizing work in a complex work environmentEffective risk identification, mitigation and valuationA relevant or equivalent Digital Engineering / Business tertiary qualificationKnowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Maori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Maori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sectorKo wai matou | About us The focus of the Transport Services group is to provide, improve and maintain an integrated land transport system to effectively enable people-centred, technology-enabled, system focused transport services, in partnership with other system providers. The Roads of National Significance (RoNS) are vital state highway projects that will drive economic growth and productivity through faster, more efficient transport connections that reduce travel times and create a safer, more resilient roading network.
These projects, once complete, will stimulate economic growth by supporting new housing developments and enhancing export market links, ensuring people and freight can reach their destinations quickly and safely.
With a focus on innovative funding and delivery models, we're aiming to break ground within the next three years as part of a 10-year construction pipeline, transforming New Zealand's transport network and keeping the country moving.
