About the Role This position exists to provide a clinical nutrition service to inpatients, outpatients, and community patients, and advice to Hauora Tairawhiti Food Service Contractors about special diets for inpatients.
About the Team/Service/Location The Dietetics team is based at Gisborne Hospital and provides care to patients in Hospital, outpatient and community settings.
Service hours are 8-4.30 Monday to Friday.
The current vacancy is to cover parental leave.
About You a New Zealand Registered Dietitian with a current Annual Practicing Certificate with prescribing endorsement (or in the process of applying for these) a current drivers licence a strong understanding of inequity and the contributing factors, as well as dedication to help your patients/clients achieve their health outcomes Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
