Through integration and collaboration, we're building a health system underpinned by partnership, equity, sustainability, whanau-centred care, and excellence.About the RoleThis position exists to provide a clinical nutrition service to inpatients, outpatients, and community patients, and advice to Hauora Tairawhiti Food Service Contractors about special diets for inpatients.About the Team/Service/LocationThe Dietetics team is based at Gisborne Hospital and provides care to patients in Hospital, outpatient, and community settings. Service hours are 8-4.30 Monday to Friday. The current vacancy is to cover parental leave.Minimum RequirementsA New Zealand Registered Dietitian with a current Annual Practicing Certificate with prescribing endorsement (or in the process of applying for these).A strong understanding of inequity and the contributing factors, as well as dedication to helping your patients/clients achieve their health outcomes.Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Working for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
