The opportunity - Te turanga In this amazing opportunity, you will be responsible for leading the creation and management of the annual enterprise operating plan and business prioritisation that delivers to the agreed long term business transformation plan (Te Paerangi) through to supporting the delivery of the plan via the Project Services function (and others as required e.g. third parties).
Working closely with all business units, ensure that TVNZ's work programmes and projects are planned, managed and governed in a consistent, transparent and disciplined manner. This role is responsible for facilitating the prioritisation of projects across TVNZ to deliver increased revenue, operational efficiencies, address risk and/or viewer benefits - ultimately to ensure the budgeted benefits are realised. The Project Services team is responsible for the supporting services to deliver projects that realise the benefits.
In this role, the person will be a key driver of business outcomes by managing the enterprise plan delivery of a project pipeline and a team of project roles which may include programme managers, project managers and business analysts and contractors as required.
This is a 9-12-month fixed term contract. To be successful in this role, we are looking for the following: Proven experience in creating operational planning and prioritisation of large multi-year programmes of work to migrate organisations to a digital future.Experience managing a PMO equivalent and delivering business analysis, project and programme management within a complex technical, commercial environment with associated delivery and project management experience.Have a broad understanding of the technology and services involved in a media environment (commercial television is an advantage) in particular hardware, software replacement, construction and studio renovations.Demonstrable knowledge of the latest thinking in transformation migration of business capabilities from traditional to digital capabilities.A knowledge of delivery and/or technology processes.Strong experience in processes and practices required to deliver to customer expectations.Wealth of experience managing and delivering large, complex programmes of work or responsibility for the planning, prioritisation and benefits realisation / commercial return on investments.Demonstrated experience in financial & commercial management principles as they relate to project management and delivery of a business case (budget vs. earned progress, capital vs. expense, etc.).Proven experience managing prioritisation processes at Executive level and the ability to deliver demonstrable benefit outcomes.Strong ability to work within a team environment, manage multiple projects, and adapt to frequent change.Proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams in an environment of competing interests and limited resources.Ability to communicate (oral and written) with all of the organisation up to the executive level.Strong experience managing and delivering projects at pace; delivering value iteratively, maintaining flexible and light touch processes.Commercially savvy, with experience delivering and supporting projects that materially change the business.Don't miss out on this amazing opportunity Connect with our enthusiastic Head of Talent Acquisitions, Philly Irvine, at 021 564 691.
