Nurse Coordinator - Bone Marrow Transplant Service at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Waitaha Canterbury, Christchurch0.8FTE (32 hours a week), Fixed Term till June 2026 due to Parental LeaveMonday to Friday 0800 - 1630 (hours to be discussed at interview stage)Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is dedicated to serving all New Zealanders.About the RoleAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior Registered Nurse with expert knowledge and skills in clinical Haematology to join our team as a Nurse Coordinator for the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit.In this role, you will be based in the Haematology Service and will work across the care continuum to ensure all patients undergoing bone marrow transplantation and their families receive coordinated, seamless care at all stages of the transplant process.

We offer a supportive and encouraging work environment and strive to be recognized as a centre of excellence.About YouAs a Nurse Coordinator in the Bone Marrow Transplant Service, you will have previous Haematology experience/knowledge and experience in dealing with patients requiring cancer treatment.You will be committed to quality improvement, passionate about Haematology services, and will work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care is delivered to our patients to improve their health outcomes.You will be an experienced practitioner, with at least five years of comprehensive knowledge and skills in Haematology Stem Cell Transplant management.Proven leadership with a solution-focused approach, the ability to implement a nursing care model that educates, supports, and encourages others within the team to achieve common service goals.You will act as a specialist resource for patients, medical practitioners, and other nurses.You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work well independently.Currently hold or be working towards a relevant Postgraduate qualification.Being enthusiastic, motivated, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage a wide variety of people.Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC).Working at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
