* Fixed term position until December 2026 * Based in our Wellington Customhouse * Flexible working arrangements availableWe are looking for a Project Coordinator to join our Trade Programme team, consisting of the Tariff Modernisation and Goods Fees Projects.
Tariff Modernisation is a large-scale business change project and Goods Fees is an implementation of recently approved Cabinet changes.
This role would ideally suit someone who thrives in a busy environment with a variety of work, can work to deadlines and enjoys helping others.
About this role | Mo tenei turanga mahiThis role will see you providing high quality and timely support to the Trade Programme team.
This includes programme governance support, support planning and support managing documentation and artifacts.Your responsibilities in this role will include: * Assisting project teams to develop and maintain reports, budget records, project plans, risk and issue registers, databases and other usual support tools and documentation.
* Maintaining programme/project schedules, gathering and processing project data, and monitoring and reporting progress.
* Build and maintain close relationships with key stakeholders to better understand their needs and business drivers.
* Organising governance meetings, completing meeting minutes and following up on or completing agreed actions.
* Managing interaction with vendors regarding information requirements.
* Drafting communications material and maintaining the programme/project intranet pages.
* Providing coordination support tasks across the programme/projects.
The salary range for this role is $70,056 - $87,772 per annum.

Our ideal candidate will bring: * Excellent relationship management skills, including the ability to engage at all levels of the organisation including sound interpersonal skills.
* Proven experience in providing project or programme coordination services to a manager and / or team.
* Exceptional organisational skills including establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
* Strong problem-solving capability, including the ability to identify problems, manage or mitigate risks and implement innovative solutions.
* The ability to communicate clearly and succinctly orally and in writing to wide ranging audiences.
* Knowledge of applying project management methodologies i.e.
waterfall and agile.
* Involvement in or an understanding of governance and management frameworks projects.

* Have resided continuously in New Zealand for the last 5 years*.
* Successful applicants are also required to pass a drug test and have a clear Police record.
*If you are a New Zealand Citizen or New Zealand Permanent Resident who has resided in New Zealand for the last 5 years but have been absent from New Zealand for periods of 6-9 months within the past five years, preferably in one or more of the following countries: either Australia, Canada, UK or the USA then you will be required to provide overseas Police certificates for these periods spent outside of New Zealand.
