We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Fixed Term Full-time Cleaning Assistant & Kitchen Hand to work at our MB Century, 15 minutes out of Taupo. This is a fixed-term opportunity for a period of 6 months. You will be required to work 66.5 hours per week on and week off. This is a dual role: 5 hours as a Kitchen Assistant and 5 hours as a Cleaning Assistant, 7 days on 7 days off.A Cleaner is an employee who, at the completion of their training and induction, is capable of utilising a range of materials and equipment to clean a range of surfaces in order to restore or maintain buildings in a clean and hygienic condition.A Kitchen Hand is an employee who, at the completion of their training and induction, is capable of delivering a quality catering service to our customers, residents, or clients on a daily basis.This role requires a pro-active approach to safety and utilisation of all of the safety equipment and procedures provided by Compass Group.Cleaning accommodation rooms (including bathrooms, cleaning officer buildings, smoko rooms, dining rooms) by vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and making beds.Undertaking daily laundry duties, like washing and sorting laundry.Maintain a clean and tidy kitchen area.Assist with preparing and presenting food.Be a fast worker and a team player but also able to work alone.Have a good awareness of health & safety and follow safe working practices.Assisting with other general cleaning duties as required.If you're our ideal candidate, you will have high standards in regard to cleaning and personal presentation as well as a friendly, helpful, and positive 'can do' attitude. You will be physically fit, reliable, on-time, flexible, and honest.
