The firm has approximately 11 full-time staff and this is envisaged to be a 2IC role, or the most senior role under the director.Key Responsibilities:Manage a diverse client portfolio, acting as their first point of contact and trusted advisor.Prepare GST returns, cashflows, financial statements, and tax returns for your clients as needed.Work closely with the team to ensure all client work is completed on time.Support the Director with tasks such as budgets, financial analysis, and dividend calculations and shape client success stories by delivering insights beyond numbers.Train and assist clients and team members with Xero.Opportunity to work on special projects or process improvement initiatives.This role requires the talents of a confident business services senior accountant or client manager who can see the big picture beyond the numbers.
You will play a key role in helping the firm's clients achieve their goals and be evolving success stories in their respective industries.About the successful candidateAt least 4-5 years of experience in a Chartered Accounting role, ideally with client management experience.CA or CPA qualification (or you're almost there) with a drive to stay ahead of industry trends.Genuine interest in accounting and helping businesses succeed.Strong communication skills and the ability to build good relationships.Understanding and empathetic approach to people's needs.The ability to manage your time, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.Practical, problem-solving attitude.Familiarity with Xero (ideally a Xero certified professional or willing to become certified).Willingness to embrace new technologies that improve how the firm, and their clients work.What is on offer$70,000 - $90,000 at the lower end of the range for this role.$90,000 - $120,000 for fully qualified professionals with extensive experience in the field.Up to $5,000 to help with relocation costs.Flexible working options: shorter office hours, part-day Fridays, work-from-home arrangements of up to 2 days per week, and the ability to customise your work schedule to suit your lifestyle.An annual budget for training and career development opportunities, including attending industry conferences.Clear career growth path, whether you want to move into management, become an associate director, or work towards partnership (with mentoring along the way).Fun team events and social activities throughout the year.Employee wellbeing support programmes designed to create a healthy and supportive work environment.To register your interest and learn more, please get in touch with Steve Ignatov in our Auckland office on (09) 962 5687 / 021 286 1114 or email your CV to ****** or ****** quoting reference number sk12021.
