We're looking for an inspiring leader to step into the new role of Kaiwhakahaere o Mana Ruruku at Dunedin City Council.About the RoleYou will:Provide strong strategic direction, shaping a team structure aligned with the Council's strategic objectives and the needs of our community.Lead initiatives that ensure the Te Taki Haruru (DCC's Maori strategic framework) is embedded throughout Council strategies, plans, and processes.Use Te Taki Haruru to review and improve operational policies, systems, and practices.Build and sustain key relationships, ensuring effective partnerships between the Council, mana whenua, and local Maori.Drive a positive and inclusive team culture, nurturing professional development and delivering impactful programmes of work.Have proven leadership skills at a senior management level, a strong relationship with mana whenua, proven ability in application of te ao Maori and Treaty principles, and a passion for creating meaningful change.Why Join Us?This is a rare opportunity to make a tangible impact, shaping the future of Otepoti, Dunedin in partnership with mana whenua and Maori communities.
