About the Role We are looking for someone to fill a casual position working as an EnergyMate Coach covering the Dunedin region.
You will work in partnership with the EnergyMate programme to provide energy advice and targeted support to educate and support whanau to live in warm, dry homes with affordable energy costs.
As long as client demand is met, you have the opportunity to plan your own week (i.e., hours and days worked).
You will work within the Family Works team at Presbyterian Support Otago.
Surrounded by colleagues doing the same, this role will give you the opportunity to make a difference.
Hours: Casual basis.
The successful applicant will ideally commence with us by the end of January 2025.
About You We would love you to:
Understand the social and economic complexities that exist in the community.Have highly developed interpersonal skills including relationship and advocacy skills.Understand core budgeting concepts and the wider impact on individuals/families.Have skills and experience in computer systems and databases to maximise the use of technology for improved service provision.Demonstrate exceptional planning and organisational skills and effectively manage complex and competing priorities.Be able to work independently and as part of a small team.Be either a current Financial Mentor or prepared to become one.Have experience in the social service sector (advantageous).Communicate clearly both orally and in writing.Possess a full driver's license, as you will be visiting clients in their homes.What We Offer Join a supportive, passionate, and high-functioning team.Professional development and supervision.Support to develop leadership skills.Be part of a strong wider Family Works Team and a well-known and highly respected charitable organisation.Make a real difference in people's lives.A team culture that values diversity and well-being.Discounts with local businesses.About Us Family Works is a service within Presbyterian Support Otago (PSO) that works for a safe, strong, and connected community.
