The Job Description

As the Works Delivery Team Lead, your remit is twofold: Guide, mentor, and coach a diverse team of Project Managers and administration support staff, across costs, labour, time, and delivery requirements, and simultaneously manage a portfolio of key projects of your own.

Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Include:

  • Lead, mentor, coach, and manage a diverse project team with a mix of skills and personalities.
  • Oversee a portfolio of critical projects, collaborating with external stakeholders such as DOC, NZTA, and local councils.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including planning, asset management, network operations, finance, and contributing to project approvals, forecasting, and project reporting.

You Will Need To Have:

  • A Tertiary Qualification in Electrical Engineering, Civil Construction, or a Trade Qualification within the field of electricity transmission or supply.
  • A Project Management qualification such as Prince2 or similar.
  • Proven experience managing project teams.
  • Demonstrated background in electricity (energy, utilities), civil construction, or similar infrastructure projects.
  • Great communication skills to work with both technical and process-based team members, external contractors, and service providers.
