That trust comes from knowing we are a locally owned co-operative that plays a valuable role in the communities in which we operate.About the RoleWe are looking for a proactive Retail Manager to join our rapidly growing business at Mitre 10 MEGA Petone. Our ideal candidate will have a strong retail or operations background and preferably some exposure or knowledge in the products we sell or big box retail. You will also have previous leadership experience and a commitment to providing quality service and product to our customers.The focus of this role is to ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service to our retail customers, driving sales and the seamless running of your portfolio. You will support and motivate your team to be the best they can be every day, to deliver in full and on time and to achieve the results that are critical to our success. You will also have a strong focus on Health & Safety.To be successful in this role you'll need to demonstrate:An understanding or background in inventory management and pricingA passion for customer service excellence and the ability to manage customer expectationsStrong organisational skills with the ability to forward plan and offer innovative solutionsLeadership capability and a solid understanding of how to motivate teams and inspire them to achieve service excellenceThis role reports to the Store Manager and is part of the store leadership team.We are in growth mode and we can provide further career opportunities for the right candidate as well as a competitive remuneration package and excellent staff purchasing scheme.We also have a great culture.
