About the roleWe are seeking a full-time Health Promotion Coordinator to join the Well Women and Family team in a permanent role that focuses on health promotion, marketing, event coordination, and managing referrals from other healthcare providers.
This exciting position is part of the Women's Health Support to Screening Programme, which includes Cervical and Breast Screening transportation and support services.Key ResponsibilitiesHealth Promotion & Marketing: Develop and implement strategies to raise awareness of women's health services, focusing on Maori, Pacific, and high-needs populations.
Manage social media content and monitor marketing efforts across locations.Event Coordination: Plan and execute health promotion events that educate communities on screening and preventative health, ensuring cultural relevance.Transportation and Support: Coordinate transportation, home visits, and support for Wahine to attend Breast Screening, Breast Clinic, Colposcopy, and Cervical Screening appointments.Referral Management: Track referrals from external providers, ensuring timely connections to services and follow-up.Collaboration: Work with the Clinical Lead to advocate for equitable women's health participation across the region.Partnership Development: Build strong relationships with Maori health providers, iwi, and community organizations to enhance outreach.Key Requirements:Tertiary qualification in health promotion or a relevant field, or demonstrated experience in a health promotion/community work role.Solid understanding of the health sector, ideally within primary or secondary care settings.Experience in addressing the cultural needs of Maori and Pacific communities accessing health services.Proven ability to plan, organise, and evaluate health promotion events and activities tailored to diverse communities.Experience in marketing, particularly managing social media platforms, and monitoring the effectiveness of marketing campaigns across various locations.Strong organisational, time-management, and multitasking abilities.Skills Required:Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.Familiarity with MedTech or willingness to learn new software.Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.Full driver's licence and the ability to drive a manual vehicle.Ability to travel as required.At Well Women & Family Trust, we are committed to creating a supportive and inclusive work environment that empowers our employees to thrive.Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.Flexible working arrangements to support work-life balance.Access to EAP services (3 free counselling sessions).Be part of a dynamic, supportive, and diverse team that values your contributions.About usWell Women & Family Trust is a dedicated provider of women's health services in the Auckland region, with a strong focus on cervical screening, breast screening support, and health promotion.
