By providing expert financial guidance and support, we help drive informed decision-making and operational excellence across the University.The role/Te mahiYou will be joining the Revenue Management team, a key part of Financial Control.
Our team is dedicated to delivering efficient accounts receivable management, financial processing, and transactional support to the University's operational areas.Responsibilities include accounts receivable tasks such as processing payments, managing student fees, handling banking transactions, issuing invoices, and following up on overdue accounts.
You will maintain financial controls, identify and escalate system or process issues, and interpret basic financial data to generate reports.
In addition, you will provide first-line financial support, handling routine inquiries and escalating complex matters when required.Your skills and experience/Ka Pukeka Me Ka WheakoYou are detail-oriented, recognising the importance of accuracy in this role.
A fast learner, you can quickly absorb and retain information and processes and effectively manage stakeholder interactions.
You thrive in a collaborative team environment, taking ownership of your responsibilities while supporting others to achieve shared goals.
Strong critical thinking skills are essential.We are looking for candidates with:Strong numerical and data analysis skills.Customer service experience and delivering exceptional service to staff and students.Strong problem-solving skills, with excellent time management.Expertise in the use of Microsoft Office and can adapt to new systems and software.Experience in transactional accounting is advantageous, given the nature of the work.Dedication to working in a culturally safe and respectful manner and demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of Te Ao Maori, Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles, and Pasifika values.Further details/PurokoThis is a permanent, part-time (30 hours per week) position, located in Dunedin.The appointment range for this role is $61,360 to $65,879, Top of Range $71,150 (pro rata).You must have the right to live and work in New Zealand to apply for this role.We offer a competitive salary, five weeks' annual leave, a 6.75% superannuation scheme, and the ability to achieve real work/life balance.
