About the Role

The Defence and Social Infrastructure team at Ventia Pty Limited is seeking a Part-Time Project Accountant to manage the Finance function for a contract at our Mornington site. The successful candidate will work 3 days a week, with at least one day in the office, focusing on Pay-Cost-Bill, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Month End Consolidation, Budgeting and Forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • P&L reporting that drills down into business performance metrics and revenue stream level
  • Ensure the appropriate allocation of costs each month to the relevant WBS/Work Order
  • Maintain a clean and compliant Balance Sheet accompanied by detailed reconciliations
  • Preparation of the yearly budget and quarterly forecasts, including supporting revenue stream cost and revenue forecasts
  • Ensure reporting in place to manage actual results against set budgets and forecasts

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a Tertiary qualification/s in accounting, business or similar, accompanied with:

  • Knowledge of SAP Project Systems (or similar)
  • A high level of computer skills including MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Relevant experience in contract/commercial preparation and negotiation
  • Knowledge of planning and scheduling (e.g., P3 or MS Project)
  • Knowledge of document control systems
