Head of Portfolio Governance and AssuranceManagement (Information & Communication Technology)Full timeSitting within our Information and Communication Technology Group (ICT), the Head of Portfolio Governance and Assurance will lead and manage ICT's governance and assurance functions. You will be critical in ensuring the successful delivery of ICT initiatives by establishing robust governance frameworks, risk management practices, and performance monitoring mechanisms.You will work closely with stakeholders, executives, and cross-functional teams to ensure project initiatives are executed efficiently, risks are mitigated, and outcomes align with KiwiRail's strategic goals. As a key point of contact and leader of the Team, you will drive customer-centricity, collaboration, and continuous learning.Key responsibilities include:Development and continuous improvement of governance frameworks and portfolio management processes that enable Agile engagementOverseeing and developing an integrated Quality Assurance practiceImplementing and monitoring financial governance frameworks that support Agile resourcingWhat you'll need:Proven experience in portfolio governance and assurance, ideally in an ICT environment within a transport and logistics sectorExtensive experience in risk management, compliance, and financial oversightKnowledge of project management methodologies (PRINCE2, PMI, Agile) and their application in ICT portfoliosExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesOutstanding communication and interpersonal skillsWhat you'll get:Competitive salary plus 4% KiwiSaver employer contributionExtensive support and developmentAccess to discounted travel, health insurance & holiday houses across NZ as part of the Staff Welfare TrustA strong Zero Harm policy to keep you safeOur people are everything.
