Job DescriptionThe Pacific Area Materials Management Department is seeking a casual receptionist.
As a casual on-call receptionist, you would be required to work on an as-needed basis.
This will require you to be available at short notice.
This role is based at the Pacific Area Office in Takapuna, Auckland, New Zealand.The role of receptionist is crucial to any organisation.
As the first point of contact for visitors to the office, you act as an ambassador for the Church as you create a welcoming atmosphere, greet visitors, and screen calls.
Your good judgment, proper etiquette, diplomacy, and organisational skills create an image of professionalism and portray to visitors our genuine desire to assist them and to exemplify the Savior in all we do.ResponsibilitiesAs a receptionist, you will be responsible for:Answering and directing phone callsMeeting and greeting visitorsMeeting room bookingsAssisting in mail delivery processesAssisting with administration and clerical tasks such as data entry and word processingQualificationsMinimum two years' experience in a receptionist or customer service roleIntermediate proficiency in Microsoft Applications including Word, Excel, and OutlookStrong verbal communication skills, including a warm and friendly phone mannerExcellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer service focusPositive, cheerful, and friendly attitudeProven organisational skills and the ability to multi-task effectivelyProven initiative and ability to work unsupervisedPlease note: Only candidates who have legal work eligibility to hold employment in New Zealand should apply.Applications must be submitted online by 5pm on Friday, 7 March 2025.Any enquiries may be directed to ****** UsChurch employees find joy and satisfaction in using their unique talents and abilities to further the Lord's work.
