This Vision is brought to life by our Values – Care, Respect, Integrity, Performance and Teamwork – which put our people, host communities, the environment and our stakeholders at the forefront of our decision-making.Job DescriptionTo optimise performance of all operating circuits within the plant, whilst working safely and efficiently, by following sound operating philosophies and standard operating procedures and actively participating in the departmental training scheme to ensure optimisation of the plant occurs at all times.Participate in ensuring critical control point operating parameters are met and adjustments are made according to set operating parameters and procedures.Perform and coordinate plant inspections as per schedules and make adjustments according to set operating parameters and procedures.
Keep informed with operational changes and directives by reading the set point spreadsheet.Be accountable for the daily adoption of plans, schedules and work orders to meet changing conditions that will best achieve overall goals.Inspect and audit work areas and practices for compliance with site standards, procedures, policies and consent conditions.Conduct sampling for both metallurgical and operational control purposes.Provide relief support for Process Shift Supervisors if required.Provide Gold Room relief as required.SCADA data collection and completion of area shift log sheets and checklists.Assist in resolution of shutdown, breakdown or start-ups situations.Isolation/restart of equipment in a safe manner during shutdowns, breakdown and start-ups.Use of computers for plant monitoring (SCADA), maintenance notifications, stores issues, leave applications (SuccessFactors), general site communications (email, RT etc) and other formats as required.Conducts all manner of house keeping.Report equipment that is damaged, worn, faulty or showing any other unusual signs to your supervisor and document in Pronto.Checks measurements, makes adjustments and carries out minor maintenance of process equipment when directed.Uses mobile equipment for clean-up and other duties as required.Undertakes all/any training offered with an open mind.Mix and load all reagent levels and note usage.QualificationsFirst Aid Certificate.Full and current Class 1 Driver Licence, the ability to drive manual vehicles is preferred.Previous processing plant experience, or similar, will be well regarded.Forklift, loader and skid steer loader experience an advantage.Previous experience with DCS would be highly regarded.Prior experience working in CIL/CIP, Sag/Ball milling would be an advantage.Additional informationOGC VALUES: CARE | RESPECT | INTEGRITY | PERFORMANCE | TEAMWORKOceanaGold is committed to providing equal employment opportunities.If you share the same values and have what we are looking for, please apply online now via our careers website:https://careers.oceanagold.com/jobs**Applications close 4 February 2025.
