About the RoleAssociate Charge Nurse Manager (ACNM) or Associate Team Leader roles are essential in creating partnerships with Maori across all levels including tangata whaiora, whanau, Maori staff and the Kaitakawaenga team, and supporting our non- Maori staff to work together in reducing inequity.
The Associate Charge Nurse Manager is a key senior role within the team responsible for providing leadership and support to staff, taangata whaiora and whaanau, working in close collaboration with the Charge Nurse Manager.
About the TeamWard 36 is a 10 bedded acute admission unit with an adjacent intensive care area consisting of 2 beds and is situated within the Henry Rongomau Bennett Centre.

We have a brand new facility being built which will be ready for occupancy in 2026; you will get to work in a state of the art purpose built facility, where we aim to be delivering a service which is culturally led and clinically underpinned.

About you Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growthExperience in upholding Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
Support CNM to build a high performing team that upholds the culture, values, mission and vision of the service.Engage and work collaboratively with all stakeholders, particularly tangata whaiora and whanau.Foster a culture of openness and quality improvement, with tangata whaiora and whanau at the centre Working for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
