Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to fill the senior nursing leadership position of Associate Charge Nurse Manager for the Cardiac Care Ward. This ACNM role will support the CNM, have responsibility and oversight of the cardiac care ward, and support the patient flow for the cardiac patients that receive treatment at our hospital from other regions.

This role is an exciting opportunity and requires a person who is motivated, dynamic and enthusiastic to help lead and develop a team with excellent assessment and clinical skills.

Mō tātou Ratonga | About our Service
Cardiac Care has 52 inpatient beds that are spread out among three areas/levels in the ward, CCU 1, CCU 2 and CCU 3. This model of care is supported by a team of dedicated and skilled nurses to assist and support the flow of patients from ED to the ward and through the different step down areas of the cardiac unit and then preparing them for discharge home.

Required skills & experience you will need to be considered for this role:

Knowledge and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi

Designated Senior Nurse Experience, with proven leadership capability

*
Demonstrated clinical expertise in cardiology

*
Demonstrated highly effective written and verbal communication.

*
Quality Management and evidence of embedding this into clinical practice

*
People management experience - performance management, conflict resolution and team building Coordination skills and the ability to lead a team and coordinate patient flow

*
Be prepared and able to support and guide junior nurses

*
Prepared to support the CNM in ward projects and other leadership jobs such as completing appraisals, rostering, audits.

*
The ability to communicate effectively with members of the wider hospital team and members of the MDT

*
Be dynamic, forward thinking and up for a challenge
