Duties include customer service, managing inventory and supplies, operation of our dedicated retail space in the café, implementing marketing strategies, and leading a dedicated and passionate team.
You'll work closely with our Head Chef to ensure a positive and supportive work environment for our College Street team.In this role you'll have the opportunity to work with not only the café team, but our superstar technicians, coffee roasters and baristas, who are passionate about delivering exceptional coffee experiences to our customers.
You'll be joining a team that values creativity, innovation, and has a commitment to quality and excellence.Please note our Café will be having a Christmas shutdown period from 24th December to 8th January 2025.About you:We're looking for someone with loads of energy and a strong background in coffee and hospitality.
Someone who will lead by example and motivate our team to provide outstanding service to our customers.
2 years plus experience as a Café Manager or Supervisor will mean you have the skills to deliver, and a proven track record in leading a great team.
Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential, as well as the ability to thrive under pressure.This opportunity requires some weekend hours as we operate 7 days, and is a full-time position based at our L'affare café on College Street, Wellington Central.All applicants must be a New Zealand resident or have a New Zealand working visa.
