Team Leader - Inwards Goods

Are you a proven leader, an excellent communicator with a drive for continuous improvement? At Barkers, the logistics team is an essential part of the production process and we're seeking a driven Team Leader to join the team.

This role involves leading the logistics team in the Inwards Goods department, backing up the Finished Goods team based in Winchester, ensuring the smooth operation of stock movement, receipting & dispatch, while providing a high level of customer service within the team and to external customers.

Key responsibilities will include:

Working with the team to promote a positive culture and work ethic through feedback and coaching.

Promoting health, safety, and quality practices to all team members.

Collaborating with the team to ensure the smooth operation of stock movement, receipting & dispatch.

Maintaining accurate production reporting on all key performance indicators and providing recommendations to address issues.

Working with new team members on training and onboarding, and existing staff to grow and develop.

Driving problem-solving of long-standing company issues, including root cause analysis.

The ideal candidate will:

Have a high focus on health, safety, and quality.

Have fantastic troubleshooting ability from a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Experience in continuous improvement preferred.

Have team leadership experience.

Be an excellent communicator, and have confident decision-making skills.

Possess intermediate to experienced level of computer skills.

Have previous experience working within a warehouse or manufacturing environment, which is an advantage.

Forklift operator skills and ideally hold an OSH forklift license (not essential but preferred).
