If so we are looking for an Occupational Therapist | Kaiwhakaora Ngangahau to join our team.

About the Role This position can be based at either Thames Hospital or Waihi Community base.
In this role you will provide Occupational Therapy services to clients within their home environment and occasionally on the Thames Hospital inpatient ward.
Manage your own caseload and waitlist and have a level of autonomy.
You will be collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and work alongside Physiotherapists, Social work and Allied Health Assistants.
Ideally candidates will be Enable housing and wheelchair level 1 accredited, however training will be provided for the successful candidate if required.

About the Team Allied Health is a department of the Waikato District that provides Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech & Language Therapy, Dietetic, Audiology & New Born Hearing screening, Social Work, and Psychology services.
Staff within these professions are all involved in direct client care and work in a wide range of situations to improve the health and wellbeing of the people they work with.
Allied Health staff work in partnership with individuals and their family/whanau to facilitate relationships and a smooth journey through the healthcare system.
About Thames Thames Hospital is a modern 50-bed secondary care facility offering a comprehensive range of services, including an emergency department, inpatient care, day surgery, an infusion unit, rehabilitation services, birthing unit and low-acuity mental health care.
Our hospital boasts 24-hour laboratory and radiology services, including advanced CT imaging.
As an accredited training hub, we support 5th and 6th-year medical students from Auckland University, PGY2 House Officers, and registrars in Rural Hospital Medicine and General and Acute Care Medicine.
We offer a robust quality improvement program, CME opportunities, and an RMO teaching program.
Telehealth is expanding at Thames, supporting inpatient care, outpatient clinics, and emergency services like stroke thrombolysis.
