If so we are looking for an Occupational Therapist | Kaiwhakaora Ngangahau to join our team.Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.
About the Role We have an opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our community team.
This position is located at our Gallagher Drive Community base and servicing our Ngaruawahia community.
You will provide high quality interventions to our community in Ngaruawahia and surrounding area.
You will provide quality assessment and deliver safe and effective interventions to support our clients to live as independently as possible.
You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team.
You will manage your own caseload and wait list.
Ideally candidates will be Enable housing and wheelchair level 1 accredited; however, training will be provided for the successful candidate if required.
Key Responsibilities of the Role: Manage your own caseload and waitlistProvide comprehensive assessments and goals to a diverse range of clientsCollaborate with internal and external stakeholdersAbout You Skills and experience you'll need to be considered for the role:
At least 12 months post qualification experience and ideally experience with the Ministry of Health funding process; however, new graduate OTs will be considered.Sound clinical reasoning skills and use of evidence-informed practiceEffective time management, prioritisation, and organisation skillsAbility to work collaboratively with a range of professional groups in a multidisciplinary settingWorking at Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
