We are looking for a Senior Manager to lead our efforts in mitigating and managing financial crime compliance risks.You will provide in-depth technical knowledge and expertise on AML/CFT, Sanctions, and FATCA/CRS, as well as drive and execute strategies to ensure compliance with New Zealand legislation and Group Policy requirements.Acting as the Compliance SME on FCC-related projects, you will support control and process remediation projects.
Additionally, you will offer technical advisory support on escalated matters and incident investigations and assess regulatory changes while coordinating engagement with RBNZ and law enforcement agencies.This is a 6-month fixed term position, covering maternity leave.Key Responsibilities:Drive and execute strategies to ensure compliance with New Zealand legislation and Group Policy requirements.Act as the Compliance SME on FCC-related projects, supporting control and process remediation projects.Offer technical advisory support on escalated matters and incident investigations.Assess regulatory changes while coordinating engagement with RBNZ and law enforcement agencies.Responsible for the execution of the FCC framework and policy strategy and activities across New Zealand, ensuring compliance with obligations and a robust risk and control framework is designed effectively and operating.Proactively manage and communicate compliance issues brought by changes to (FCC related) legislation and other regulatory requirements across New Zealand or relevant other jurisdictions by providing briefings/ updates to senior management and staff.Assist in ensuring compliance with requirements of laws, regulations and industry standards.Act as the FCC SME providing consultancy to projects affecting New Zealand products and processes to ensure compliance requirements are adequately assessed and controls put in place.Assist with the input and completion of relevant / required reports to Boards, Committees, Group, Management and Business Units as required.We require:Banking, Compliance and / or Risk Management experience gained within the Financial Services Industry, primarily in risk and compliance related areas.In depth understanding of financial economic crime compliance requirements and practices in the New Zealand financial services sector, gained through previous experience in this area.Solid understanding of the New Zealand regulatory environment and requirements.Demonstrated expertise in risk and control practices.Extensive experience in financial crime compliance.Strong understanding of New Zealand legislation and global compliance requirements.Proven ability to manage compliance risks within risk appetite.If you are ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role, apply now to join our team and make a significant impact in the world of financial crime compliance
