Maintenance Engineer – Central Hawke's Bay, New ZealandD & S Engineering is in a phase of expansion.
We are seeking two hardworking and skilled Maintenance Engineers to join our team in Central Hawke's Bay, New Zealand.
Both roles are permanent, full-time positions with guaranteed hours, penal rates, and a highly competitive hourly rate.
For the right candidate(s), we may also provide a dwelling to assist with relocation.About the Role:As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for the upkeep and smooth operation of a growing food processing facility that has recently undergone significant investment in new, state-of-the-art equipment.
Your key responsibilities will include:Maintaining both new and existing equipmentAssisting with daily maintenance and factory operationsTroubleshooting and repairing breakdowns during shiftsAbout You:This role is ideal for a self-motivated individual who enjoys working as part of a skilled team but is also capable of working independently.
You should have:Experience as a maintenance fitter in a factory setting (2-3 years experience essential)Relevant trade qualifications (preferred but not required)Welding and general machining skills (advantageous but not required)What We Offer:Permanent, full-time role with guaranteed hours (Role 1: Mon - Fri: 1pm to 11pm and Role 2: Sat - Tues: 6am to 3pm)Minimum 35 hours per week (may work upwards of 45 hours depending on workload, breakdowns etc)Competitive hourly rate + penal ratesSupport with relocation, including potential housingThe opportunity to work in a modern, growing facility with cutting-edge equipmentIf you're looking for a stable, rewarding career in a supportive team environment, we'd love to hear from youTo apply, please submit your CV and a brief cover letter.
