Make a real impact in your community through library servicesWork with diverse groups to enhance library engagementOpportunity to help shape innovative library programsNga korero mo te turanga - About the roleThe name Kauvaiora literally means "living river of water", a name referring to a person who acts as a source of knowledge, expertise and connection to the Library.We are seeking a collaborative, proactive, and adaptable individual to join our Library team who will focus on the following:Engage with Pacific learners to ensure their voices are heardFoster understanding among library staff on how to best deliver culturally responsive and meaningful library services for Pacific peopleWork on initiatives to enhance the Pacific experience across library servicesHelp create an environment for inspiration, curiosity and a sense of safety and belonging for Pacific communitiesThe ultimate goal of this work is to enhance the Library's reputation as a trusted partner with our Pacific communities.
Your work will directly contribute to enhancing the experience and success of Pacific communities within the University.This is a permanent, full-time role (37.5 hours per week) based at our Hillcrest campus.
We encourage applications from candidates seeking a full-time position or those able to work between 0.6 and 1.0 FTE.
The full-time salary range is $69,199 to $82,228 prorated per year, depending on skills, knowledge, and experience.
While there is an expectation for staff to be onsite at certain times, the Library supports flexible and hybrid working arrangements.For more information on the role please see the position description.
