We are looking for an Enrolled Nurse interested in working full time (40 hrs per week/1.0 FTE) at our Whanau Health Centre in Thames, with flexibility to work across our other clinic site in Paeroa. This role is fixed term to cover parental leave.
The Enrolled Nurse (EN) works under the direction and delegation of a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide primary care nursing support, patient interventions and treatment within Te Korowai Hauora o Hauraki. As part of the Ohu Hauora team, the EN works within their scope of practice and is responsible for providing whanau-centred, culturally appropriate, and individual holistic care to patients.
To be successful in this role you will need:
A current APC and experience in primary health care/ general practice or well child services
Experience in using MedTech Evolution is desirable.
To be a cervical smear taker and an authorised vaccinator (or ready to undertake training)
The ability to build relationships and communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) putting our patients and their whanau at ease
To be highly organised and be able to manage your time and workload effectively - particularly when it gets busy
To be flexible, energetic, pro-active with a positive 'can do' attitude - ready to pitch in and help out when needed.
