About the team | Ko te ropu nei Within the Planning & Consents Unit, you will be part of a dynamic planning and policy team which has responsibility for spatial planning (urban and rural) and place-making through local area planning, maintaining the Christchurch District Plan, responding to national direction, strategic transport and urban regeneration. About the role | Ko te mahi nei  You'll be providing advice to our elected members and other Council staff on a range of planning and policy matters. Also working closely alongside key stakeholders and the wider community will ensure you identify and advise on emerging challenges and opportunities in the City and wider district. Our team undertakes collaborative planning with community, environmental and development agencies, and our sub-regional partners through the Greater Christchurch Partnership. We are looking for innovative and adaptable individuals with a demonstrable ability for planning at different scales and engaging with others in a collaborative manner to achieve positive outcomes. You'll have a background in policy planning and be able to adapt yourself to local government complexities. We have positions available as follows:  Senior Policy Planner (City Planning) - You'll have a degree in planning and resource management experience with strong practical knowledge of the Resource Management Act to hit the ground running. Policy Planner (City Planning) - You'll have a degree in planning and resource management experience to lead and provide input to a range of projects. What's in it for you?
