**About the role**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Community Support and Partnerships Unit for an accomplished policy analyst and project manager with a genuine passion for community development. You'll join our operational unit, where we are at the forefront of making an impact. Our teams provide invaluable advice and support services to local Community Boards, influencing decisions and plans that shape the local community. We also foster collaboration across sectors and communities, empowering citizens and ensuring their participation remains at the heart of local decision-making.

This specific role is based in the Community Planning and Projects Team, focusing on providing operational policy advice related to community development and supporting the implementation of Council's Strengthening Communities Together Strategy. You will have the opportunity to lead specific projects and forge meaningful relationships. Your expertise in planning, monitoring, reporting, and stakeholder management will be invaluable in supporting the team's efforts to evaluate impact and achieve outcomes.

**About you**:
We are constantly striving for continual improvement. We believe that if we're not consistently finding better ways to do things, we're not progressing. As part of our team, you will be the driving force behind giving Council policies the traction they need. You'll gather information from our internal team of advisors and diligently monitor and report on its utilization to align with our policies and ongoing strategy.

Your professional background and experience have equipped you with a solid understanding of policy interpretation, as well as a keen insight into community development. Excellent skills in planning, research, and project management, combined with political acumen, will enable you to navigate the occasionally challenging environment we operate in. Holding a degree in a relevant discipline, you will also bring valuable experience in building relationships both within your team and across the wider business.
