With a strong focus on strategic sourcing and qualifying new suppliers in line with best practices, you will promote positive business P&L and broadening of supply base. This role will be based in Glenavy.Who are we?Oceania Dairy (ODL) is a dairy manufacturing plant located in Glenavy, South Canterbury, with a diverse workforce of 400 staff, specializing in the creation of Milk Powder (adult and infant formula) and UHT milk. Our organisation is owned by the Yili Group and is part of the Yili Oceania Business Division (YOBD) alongside Westland Milk Products, Canary Butter, EasiYo Yogurt, and Pure Nutrition Limited.In the role of Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for (not limited to):Maintaining a robust procurement framework through templates, guidelines, and training development.Effective end-to-end sourcing activities and processes (RFx) carried out after detailed analysis and consideration in alignment with procurement strategies.Leading the development of procurement strategies across an assigned spend category including detailed spend analysis.Supporting the definition and ongoing implementation of global sustainable procurement and corporate social responsibility for Yili Oceania.Ensuring Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) activities and strategies are documented and support the creation and achievement of SLAs and KPIs.The successful applicant will have:Experience in a similar role is required.Experience in a food, dairy, or manufacturing environment is preferable.A commercial or supply chain management degree or CIPS is preferable.Competent communication and negotiation skills.Confidence in facilitating, advising, and exercising judgement in decision making.Why choose Oceania Dairy?State-of-the-art facilities.Free employee bus provided from Timaru and Oamaru to travel to site.Southern Cross Health Insurance.On-site gym, annual health checks, on-site physiotherapy, additional benefits.Employee Assistance Program.Strong safety culture.Values-led organisation committed to the training and development of employees.Why wait - apply now?If you want to take the next step in your career, apply now.
