The laboratory is based at Wellington Hospital in Newtown Wellington.About the Role | Mo te turanga:Our Biochemistry department are currently on the hunt for a dedicated, enthusiastic and competent Medical Laboratory Scientist to work full time (80 hours per fortnight) based at Wellington Hospital.
Our laboratory operates 24 hours a day so flexibility to work rotating shifts across a 24/7 roster will be required.To succeed in this role you will need:Scientist registration with the Medical Sciences Council of New ZealandA current Annual Practicing CertificateA sound knowledge of laboratory operations including safety, operation of equipment, and hands-on practical experience with a preference given for Biochemistry experience.Strong problem-solving skillsThe ability to work in a methodical manner adhering to strict quality procedure guidelinesA team focus with initiative, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and possess the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environmentExcellent attention to detail with good record-keeping skillsApplications close 4 April 2025.
