The Network Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining water, wastewater, and stormwater networks. The Network Operator ensures service delivery demonstrates Veolia's commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and customer service while meeting performance and key performance indicators and applying health and safety procedures.What's on offerA great team-working environmentEmployee assistance programs (EAP) through assure which covers mental health, nutrition, financial, legal, coaching, and career transition supportCompetitive salaryOpportunities for professional growth and developmentStable employment with a reputable organisationMeaningful work that contributes to the well-being of our communityWhat you'll be responsible forMaintenance and repair of the water reticulation networkInstallation and repair of water metersRepair of burst water mainsAct as a point of contact for customer requests for service, responding in a timely manner, assessing and coordinating remedial action if requiredAccurately log all reports and jobs, completing the necessary paperwork and filing where requiredParticipate in the development and implementation of Capital Works improvement programsProvide network operations support to the Technical Engineer and Supervisor, undertaking minor repairs, assisting with major repairs and replacing reticulated pipelinesPositively contribute to the district-based operations teams by fostering effective working relationships with field, engineering, management staff, client representatives, customers, and suppliersUndertake such general duties as required for the effective provision of services to the client and customersWhat you'll need to be successfulAn effective communicator who can interact and relate to staff at all levels of the organisation, and the client/customersWilling to establish and maintain working relationships with colleagues for a harmonious team environmentA self-starter who can work with a high degree of autonomyPlanning and organisational abilityProven ability to maintain accurate work recordsHigh degree of personal integrityA good work ethicConfidence in one's own judgement and capabilityCan maintain a stable performance level during periods of pressureAble to quickly adapt to changing circumstancesGood literacy and numeracy skillsWilling to complete further training as requiredComputer literateCurrent full driver's licence (preferably with Class 2)Wheels, Tracks & Rollers endorsementsTraffic Management (preferred)Working Heights (preferred)Confined Space (preferred)National Certificate in Water Reticulation (preferred)Ability and willingness to work out of hours when requiredParticipation in on-call rosterBasic understanding of Health and Safety legislationA Veolia CareerAt Veolia Australia and New Zealand, you'll join a team of over 6000 passionate innovators and good humans.
