The Mechanical Production team work closely with test engineers and design engineers to achieve the highest product quality and safety standards for Rocket Lab launch vehicles.
SUPERVISOR - MECHANICAL ASSEMBLYAs a Supervisor of Mechanical assembly based at Rocket Lab's site in Auckland, New Zealand, you will work on leading daily activities for up to 20 technicians, health and safety, quality and support R&D activities.
To be successful in this role, you must be able to manage resources to meet expected production rate increases, align capacity to production forecast, develop leadership in direct reports, improve processes and increase efficiency with a very high level of attention to detail.
In addition you will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO:Supervise and manage technicians in the production teamLead daily activities of teamIdentify and implement improvementsBe responsible for the quality of the workReport on team metricsSupport R&D activitiesAssist with pre-production manufacturing and develop the process to full rate productionYOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:NZ: High School diploma, NCEA level 2 (at least 60 credits) or equivalentUS: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
A&P license (for Lead Technician)Must be able to demonstrate a minimum of 8 years relevant industry experienceProven ability to manage resources to meet expected production rate increasesProven ability to aligning capacity to production forecastProven ability to develop leadership in direct reportsHas shown ability to improve processes and increase efficiencyA very high level of attention to detailExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenThe ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as autonomouslyAble to read, understand and follow manufacturing instructions and drawingsIf the above sounds like you apply now
