There is a strong and positive family and team-oriented culture, and a highly supportive work environment.Reporting to the Administration & Finance Manager, you will play an important role in supporting the integrated delivery of the daily accounting functions across all entities in the Group of businesses.
This will include ensuring that all financial information is captured, protected, and recorded in accordance with prevailing company and professional accounting standards, maintaining the accuracy of the general ledger, and that month and year-end processes are delivered accurately and on time.In addition to these areas, there will also be responsibility for processing monthly and annual reporting requirements, the reconciliation of balance sheets and banking, ensuring that tax compliance obligations are met, processing AP, and managing and processing payroll.It will be a very busy but varied role, and will include responsibility for looking after multiple entities and the delivery of some delegated accounting-related projects.
You will also be expected to contribute to the professional development of other team members to grow their capabilities.To be considered for this position, you will need to have held an Assistant Accountant type role, ideally within a privately owned business that has multiple entities.
Experience in the preparation of financial reports, ensuring statutory compliance, managing and delivering payroll, and a sound understanding of accounting practices and standards will be essential requirements for this role.
You must have excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, be well organized, have high attention to details and deadlines, and have the ability to effectively solve problems and make sound decisions.
