Everyone at Coronet Peak, The Remarkables and Mt Hutt cares for the mountains and shares a passion for snowsports and the surrounding regions. Our success is due to our awesome customer service, first-class facilities, majestic scenery, and wild terrain.
Mt Hutt is looking to employ Nurses for our on-mountain Medical Centre. The position runs from June to October.
About the Role
You will provide medical treatment for guests and staff on-site (both paediatric and adult trauma cases) at our Ski Area Medical Centre.
Your day-to-day won't be the same when you work at our Ski Area, but you can expect to regularly deliver acute medical care in a professional and compassionate manner while encouraging and maintaining an environment that promotes quality service delivery and safety for all patients and staff.
About You
Have at least two years of experience (or equivalent) as a registered nurse in an Emergency Department.
Hold a current annual practicing certificate.
Have knowledge of the New Zealand health system, particularly ACC.
Be comfortable working in an alpine environment in a variety of weather conditions.
Have a good knowledge of ski area snow conditions; the ability to ski or snowboard in all weather is an advantage, but not a requirement.
Skills and Qualifications
Hold current medical indemnity insurance.
Hold a Core Advanced Certificate (issued within the past 3 years).
Hold a current triage certificate.
Hold a IV Cannulation Certificate.
If applying from overseas, you must be registered in New Zealand; assistance for work visa sponsorship will be provided for successful international applicants.
