Everyone at Coronet Peak, The Remarkables and Mt Hutt cares for the mountains and shares a passion for snowsports and the surrounding regions. In this role here at Mt Hutt, Methven you will be assisting in the design and build of alpine terrain parks that provide a safe and progressive environment for our guests. Your main responsibilities will be to maintain the parks to match the safety, progression, and aesthetic standards set in place. You will test features daily and critique the quality of each individual feature to ensure the highest quality product.
This is a front line customer service role requiring you to proactively provide guests with necessary information on the safe use of our parks as well as lead a team safely.
We seek problem solvers who can maintain a high standard of work consistently throughout the season, and who can operate and communicate as part of a diverse and inclusive team.
About the Role Raking, shovelling, and maintaining features (including salting & dyeing)Assisting with the design and building of the Terrain ParksAssist the Terrain Park Head of Department with motivating, developing, and leading the Terrain Park teamEducate guests & fellow Crew members on the use and safety practices whilst using Terrain Park featuresAssessing open/closed status of alpine park/featuresSet-up of fencing and signageTesting featuresDelivery of awesome customer serviceAbout You Ability to factor flow, maintenance and progression when designing terrain parksAn understanding of spacing and snow quantity requirementsExperience in feature design and construction (joinery, fabrication, painting)Promoting sustainability and the efficient use of resourcesPossess an excellent health and safety record and understand hazard management processesProactive, take responsibility for upskilling and willing to contribute to our department goals and objectivesExperienced/advanced skier or snowboarder that can ride all terrain and parks and is comfortable doing so in all alpine conditionsMinimum 4 seasons experience in working in a Terrain Park CrewAs Kaitiaki of the mountains we have an enduring commitment to our environment, people, and communities to ensure they benefit from our presence and as proud supporters of Winter Pride we've pledged to continue to provide a working environment that embraces and values diversity and inclusion.
