5 years experience in construction and 2 years experience leading small to medium size construction projects/renovations, organizing and interacting with a small crew and tradesAble to lead and work with crew from forming foundation through to finishing stages of new construction and renovation projectsAbility to assist in training carpentry apprentices and site organization and supervisionFamiliarity with BC Building CodeAble to read plans and specifications and assist with shop dwg.
review processAble to project manage with scheduling and coordinationExperience working in occupied spaces, and with other tradesFamiliar with rough and finish carpentry, framing, concrete, siding, decking, window/door/hardware installation, steel studs, t-bar, soffits/facia, unique/specialty systems, kitchen and bath renovations and millwork installationDiverse experience in commercial, residential and institutional construction for both renovations and new constructionKnowledge and respect for good health and safe work practices around co-workers, equipment, machinery and occupied or public spacesAwareness of Hazmat materials identification and abatement proceduresAbility to assist project managers and co-workers identifying and projecting material and scheduling needsExperience sharing knowledge, and taking responsibility while working with less experienced crewExperience making sound time management decisions balancing production orientated work vs. quality finished productCompensation:Wage based on experience.
