Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to lead our construction team. As a Lead Carpenter, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation of building structures and finishes, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities
- Leading small to medium-sized construction projects, organizing and interacting with a small crew and trades;
- Overseeing the formation of foundations through to finishing stages of new construction and renovation projects;
- Assisting in training carpentry apprentices and site organization and supervision;
- Familiarity with BC Building Code and ability to read plans and specifications;
- Project management, scheduling, and coordination;
- Experience working in occupied spaces and with other trades;
- Familiarity with rough and finish carpentry, framing, concrete, siding, decking, window/door/hardware installation, steel studs, t-bar, soffits/facia, unique/specialty systems, kitchen and bath renovations, and millwork installation;
- Diverse experience in commercial, residential, and institutional construction for both renovations and new construction;
- Awareness of Hazmat materials identification and abatement procedures;
- Ability to assist project managers and co-workers identifying and projecting material and scheduling needs;
- Experience sharing knowledge and taking responsibility while working with less experienced crew;
- Making sound time management decisions balancing production-oriented work vs. quality finished product.
Requirements
- Reliable transportation and driver's license;
- Criminal Record Check;
- Steel toe boots and PPE;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Positive team attitude;
- Reliable and punctual;
- Physically fit and good work ethic;
- Attention to detail;
- Min. 5 years experience in construction and 2 years experience leading small to medium-size construction projects/renovations.
